This Contractor Verification Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Solaryien, Inc. ("Solaryien") and the contractor applicant identified in the registration form ("Applicant"). By completing the verification registration process, Applicant agrees to the terms of this Agreement.
Before a contractor subscription is activated on the Solaryien Connect platform, Applicant must satisfy all of the following verification requirements:
1. Florida Contractor License — Applicant must hold a valid, active Florida contractor license for the trade categories Applicant intends to advertise on the Platform. Solaryien will verify license status against the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) database. Applicant must provide their license number and license type at registration.
2. General Liability Insurance — Applicant must maintain active General Liability insurance with minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, or such higher amounts as Solaryien may specify. Applicant must provide a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) showing coverage amounts, policy expiration date, and the insured entity. The COI must be current and not expired.
3. Background Check — Applicant must authorize and pass a background check conducted by Solaryien's third-party background check provider. The background check covers criminal history at the state and federal level for the individual owner or principal of the contracting entity. The criteria for passing the background check are described in Section 3 of this Agreement.
4. Background Check Fee — A one-time, non-refundable background check fee of $50 is required of every contractor to cover the cost of background check processing and license verification. This fee is not charged at sign-up; it must be completed before the Platform launches, and Applicant will be notified separately with a window to complete it. No contractor is active at launch without a completed and paid background check. This fee is separate from and in addition to any subscription fee.
By executing this Agreement, Applicant authorizes Solaryien, Inc. and its designated third-party background check provider to: (a) obtain a consumer report including criminal history records from state, county, and federal sources; (b) verify identity through publicly available records; and (c) share the results of the background check with authorized personnel at Solaryien, Inc. for the purpose of evaluating Applicant's eligibility to participate in the Platform.
Applicant acknowledges that this authorization is made in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and applicable state laws. Applicant has the right to request a copy of the background check report and to dispute inaccurate information with the background check provider. Applicant will be notified if an adverse action is taken based on background check results and will be provided information to dispute inaccuracies before a final adverse action determination.
Applicant's background check results will be reviewed in accordance with the following standards. The presence of any of the following will result in disqualification from Platform participation:
Convictions not listed above will be evaluated on an individualized basis considering the nature of the offense, the time elapsed, and the relevance to contractor work. Applicant will be given an opportunity to provide context before a final determination is made on any non-listed conviction.
4.1 License and insurance verification are renewed annually at subscription renewal. Applicant must provide a current COI showing active insurance coverage at each annual renewal. License status is re-verified against the DBPR database at each renewal.
4.2 Background checks are renewed every two (2) years. A renewal fee of $50 applies to background check renewals.
4.3 If Applicant's license lapses, insurance expires, or a new disqualifying criminal matter arises between renewal periods, Applicant is required to notify Solaryien within five (5) business days. Failure to notify Solaryien of a material change to verification status is grounds for immediate termination of the subscription without refund.
Upon successful completion of all verification requirements, Applicant's public contractor profile will display a Verified badge showing: License Verified, Insurance Verified, and Background Check Cleared, along with the date of last verification. The badge is removed immediately upon lapse or failure of any verification requirement and is restored upon successful renewal.
Background check results are treated as confidential and are accessible only to authorized Solaryien, Inc. personnel involved in the verification process. Solaryien will not disclose the specific contents of background check results to homeowners, project owners, or other contractors on the Platform. The only information shared publicly is the verification badge status — pass or not cleared.
By executing this Agreement, Applicant represents that: (a) all information provided in the registration and verification process is true, accurate, and complete; (b) Applicant holds all licenses required for the work Applicant intends to advertise; (c) Applicant maintains the insurance coverage described above; and (d) Applicant has no knowledge of any pending criminal matter, license action, or insurance cancellation that would affect verification eligibility.
Applicant acknowledges that providing false information in the verification process is grounds for immediate termination of the subscription without refund and may constitute fraud under applicable law.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute shall be resolved in Polk County, Florida in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions of the Contractor Subscription Agreement.
BY COMPLETING THE VERIFICATION REGISTRATION AND PAYING THE VERIFICATION FEE, APPLICANT ACKNOWLEDGES READING, UNDERSTANDING, AND AGREEING TO THIS CONTRACTOR VERIFICATION AGREEMENT.
